I just heard that Shout Factory is gonna release all the episodes on Christmas Special on Blu-Ray.

Is there any way I can see a comparison between the original film and remastered film quality, as a taste of what to expect.

I would assume that would be available closer to 2014, when the set is going to be released.

The recreation of the text for the secret word looks great in the remastered clip. Hope you all agree.

I just read that the Special Edition Blu-ray Complete Series is coming out on October 21; the price is $98.

I've held off buying the bare-bones season sets on DVD, because years ago, Paul Reubens told David Letterman he hoped to compile a deluxe DVD set with rare special features from his own archives, plus episode commentaries. Looking at the press release for the new Blu-ray set, I see there are over 4 hours of awesome bonus features, but no mention of any contributions from Paul himself. I wonder if this release is as good as it's going to get for Playhouse fans? Man, I would have LOVED to hear full episode commentaries by Paul!
