Why are people saying Paul Reubens is a child rapist?

He was accused awhile back of owning child pornography. It was pretty much a bum rap. Reubens collects antique porn, Gay and straight, and they weren't always as particular checking ages and such in the older stuff. Moreover, Reubens essentially 'bought in bulk'. That is, like a lot of wealthy and/or famous collectors, rather than going to auctions and such himself, he'd have his people buy entire collections which were up for sale. They'd ship it all to him and he'd sort through it all at his own pace, keeping what he wanted and re-selling or otherwise disposing of the rest. So it's likely a few questionable items might have been in his possession at one time or another.

Most importantly, the really disturbing thing that got him in trouble wasn't even his. His lawyers were able to prove a piece of film showing fairly graphic activity between minors had not been among the material taken from his house. It'd somehow gotten in with his stuff afterward in the police station.
