I was just thinking the same thing. For a show that didn't run that long and didn't get rave reviews, it has weathered the years if people are still posting on its IMDB board! I frankly thought it was a nice show, and gave us all a different perspective on Southern California living. The family was wholesome, but not perfect which made it believable. With the exception of the kids always wearing designer clothes, it was a family that didn't have all of the extras or luxuries that other families had in the mid-1980's. I remember episodes where Gus is fixing a toaster; or they couldn't afford a window air-conditioner unless they were willing to trade in their televisions set!
