An 'Earthquake', a bus, a tree and a cliffhanger...

Years ago, and I mean YEARS ago, in the late 80's I guess, I remember only a few memories from childhood, but one that sticks out the most over everything else from that period. And that is an episode of Our House in which there is supposedly an "earthquake", but no one thought it really was and blamed the crack in the wall on a passing truck. (Even at the age of 6-8, even I didn't believe that theory.)

Now, at the end of the episode, a school bus was driving along when the "earthquake" hits again and all I remember is the bus heading towards a tree, a freeze frame and the words "To be continued..."

That was the last episode I ever saw. The last. And for almost 20 years, I've wondered what the hell happened? I've been hanging on this cliff for two decades! I don't know what happened to the bus!

Anyone out there know at all? I'm hanging from a branch here!

Okay, i was just about to post if anyone remebered this show and the earthquake episodes. I do remember them and they have always stuck with me over the years.... Here is what i remember.... Shannen Doherty's character was supposed to take plane flying lessons with her class... or something like that. Her mom didn't allow her but she forged her moms name and went flying. Well why they were flying the earthquake happened and they couldn't land at the airport so then they ran out of gas and crashed in the woods. No one new where they were and Shannen had to nurse the injured pilot back to health.

Something with the fact that Chad Allen kid was in a camping class outing or something and the earthquake hit and that knocked something over that started a fire in the shed or church or something. The counsler that had befriended Chad Allen ran into the burning church to save him and a friend. He was injured in the accident and then later "i think" died in the hospital with Chad Allen by his side.

That is what i remember. I remember Dedrea Hall walking by a window at a store and then the earthquake struck and she does a leap fly to get out of the way. Also Molly being stuck in the house while the shaking started and she was calling out for the basset hound dog to get under the table with her.

Hope that helps. Any one else know about these shows comming to dvd or where we can watch them?

It most certainly did. This is the only episode that i had recorded on my vcr back in the day. Right at the end of the episode, the bus smashes against the tree because while they were driving on the road, the a tree falls down in front of them causing the bus to swirve off the road. When we were kids, we used to play this episode and fight during the earthquake who got to crash there bike in the woods.

I remember at least one of the two earthquake episodes; however, I agree with the above poster--I don't remember the helicopter crashing in the woods. I remember Shannon D's character not being able to feel it as she and the pilot were watching the accident from the sky. As a kid, I did not realize that one would not feel an earthquake if you're in the air...

When she got home--she evaded the question her mom asked her, "where were you during the quake"

I think if she had to nurse a pilot to health etc---she would have had to have come clean---so I agree with the poster that says the crash never happened.

It did. I totaly remember the plane in the woods and how no one would be able ot find them because they were to far in the trees for rescuers to find them.

Does anyone remember the one in which they won a trip to Hawaii? Gus didn't want to go, so Molly's friend Bertha went with them. The family got stranded somewhere (I think their mother was elsewhere), and Gus came to Hawaii when they were found!

The bus didn't crash. David's class went to a nearby church. There was damage to a gas line in the church, which caused an explosion. It eventually killed the custodian of the church, whom David had become friends with. The plane didn't crash (in this episode). It was diverted to another airport, further away. Kris had to explain to her mother where she was for so long. Kris was in a plane that crashed in "Past Tense, Future Tense", a first season two-part episode. Grandpa and his estranged son were part of the search party looking for them.
