I don't remember much...

about this show. But I do remember an episode where the house caught on fire, and Wilford Brimley ran in to save his dog. That was a good scene.

I do remeber that episode in which Jason Bateman played a so-called record producer trying to scam the band for $ 2800.00. I don't remember which episode came first though: The episode in which the youngest daughter send out for a Jason Bateman autograph. Though he doesn't appear in person on that partticular episode, at the end the girl & her friend Bertha are holding an autographed pic of him.

I remember the one where Molly and Bertha get the chicken pox and can't go out trick-or-treating. They showed this one on PAX a few years ago. I would love to see reruns of this show again. I miss it. There aren't enough of shows like this.

I guess that chapter was "A Point of View". That was a wonderful episode: the late child star Heather O'Rourke (the "Poltergeist" girl) played the part of Dana, a blind girl who spends one night with Molly at their house. During the night the house is set on fire and the grandpa tells everybody to get out of the house, but he remained in for a while. Is that the episode you remember?

Here I am. Catch me if U can.

One of the truly wonderful family dramas on television. The episodes never get old.

Incidentally, does anyone have any idea what happened to Keri Houlihan (Molly)?

I remeber an episode when there was an earth quake and the children were hiding under the door frame and under the kitchen kitchen table. they had a cat or dog that sensed the earthquake and there was someone else in car car at the shops and another person in a aeroplane when the quake struck. I would have only been five years old when I seen it and I don't think I ever seen another episode. But I've always remembered this episode till this day.

I remember watching this show a lot too. I'm sort of surprised to realize it was only on for 2 seasons. The two episodes I really remember is the one where Wilfred Brimley goes into a diabetic shock. I think they were out camping or something. There was also another episode I remember that involved and egg drop.

reply

The one where Gus (Wilfred Brimley) goes into a diabetic shock was played a few years ago on FAM (now ABC Family). It was a 2 parter which was made into a movie. Kris (Shannon Doherty) wins a vacation to March Air Force Base and Gus goes with her. Apparently her uncle (Gus'son) lives near there and Gus hadn't talked to him in years, so she tried to reconcile them. My memory is kinda blurred on this episode, but it seems like Kris goes up in a plane with a guy she likes and it crashes, then Gus and his son go looking for them. They're campling and he falls of a horse then goes into a diabetic coma. I can't remember how the rest of the episode went, but that was what I could remember.

Maybe someone else can provide more details.

I remember this episode, William Katz ("Greatest American Hero") played the part of Gus's son. He and Gus hadn't seen or spoken to each other in many years. When Kris's plane crashes, the terrain is too rough to search by car so they go on horseback. During that time they begin to talk about what drove them apart. It is revealed that the real reason Gus has stayed angry at his son so long is because he (the son) slapped his mother across the face during an arguement. Gus ordered him out of the house and he never came back. They are beginning to reconcile when Gus goes into diabetic shock. Somehow the day is saved -- Kris is found, Gus and his son reconcile, and Gus receives medical attention.

reply

The two parter when Gus went into diabetic show and Kris was in a plane crash was called "Past Tense, Future Tense" it's aslo the one where Gus made up after a 10 year fall out with his other son Ben. You can see them in the link on my signature of it's any help. :)

i remember an episode when they were on a boat for some reason, then stranded on an island for some reason, and then some bad guys blow up the boat for some reason, and their guide gets hurts b\c she was standing in the water for some reason.

she confides in chad allen's character that she is badly hurt and he eventually saves the day...that's where i learned the term internal bleeding

(for some reason)

the details are a bit fuzzy ;p

come to think of it - this doesn't sound like our house...am i thinking of the right show?

reply

I think they had won a trip to Hawaii, but Gus didn't want to go, so Bertha got Gus' ticket. Their mother went on the trip but wasn't on that boat trip. In the end, Gus went to meet them on the island.
