Actors' interpretation of the scene ?

Do you also had impression that Patrick Swayze (or maybe the director ?) changed a little scene where Orry and Charles save George from prison ?

When Orry learns about George, of course he immediately decides do help him but says something like he is not much fond of the Yankees but he owes that to him.
On the other hand, when George talks to Constance he says he felt it like Orry was just paying his old debt, not acting as a friend.
But when you watch the scene, especially the farwell scene on the banks of the river, it doesn't look that way. They act and talk very friendly, almost tender. When they say good bye, they long shake hands etc. For me it doesn't look at all the way George reports later to Constance.

What do you think ? Are there othere scenes like that, where you see script and acting differences ?

Actually, Orry said none of that. It was Charles who expressed his dislike for Yankees when Orry asked for his help.
