Parker Stevenson as Billy Hazard

Does anyone know why Parker Stevenson took over for John Stockwell as Billy Hazard in the second series???? I can't find any info anywhere and have been so curious. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've read that John didn't like working on the first one so he didn't come back. I also heard that John took a role in "Top Gun" (yeah, a whole 10 minute scene) so he didn't return. I don't know if either of those is the real story but that is what I read.

It's too bad, in my opinion, as John Stockwell was fetching indeed as Billy Hazard - not to mention far more age appropriate. Parker is even older than Swayze!

Parker Stevenson was married to Kirstie Alley at the time so that was most probably another reason he was cast in the role.

I preferred Stockwell to Stevenson.

I did too.

It's a shame Stockwell didn't reprise the role.

I had always assumed Stevenson scored the role because he was married to Kirstie Alley (Virgilia Hazard)

Don't f@ck with me fellas! This aint my first time at the rodeo.
