I Agree, We should all Write BBC and demand a dvd.

They have a dvd for pride and prejudice, and every Jane Austen Book. More than three versions of each. Why then, can't this classic be made into a dvd as well.

I was skepticle at first (Sorry can't spell). but after watching it and then, I liked it much more than the 1995 version. And the Shirley Temple version, doesn't compare either.

This was LWT (London Weekend Television) production so the BBC wouldn't release a DVD anyway. Feature Films for Families will release a Region 1 DVD on May 5th according to amazon.com. They need to release the DVD on Region 2. After all it is a British production. Still Region 1 is better than not having it released at all.

The DVD is being released by Koch Vision, not Feature Films for Families.
