Grace is a slut.

I've just re-watched the first 5 series after not having seen them for 20 years or so. The thing that really struck me is that Grace always has these deep, introspective reflections about getting into relationships, but in the end she'll pretty much open her legs up for anyone.

It's been a long time since I've seen it, but weren't there only 3 men that she was with? Victor, Michael, the guy she was engaged to. I could be very wrong

I was gonna let you *beep* me, but I got my rag, and I know how you hate a mess

reply

 Gracie was no slut! She was engaged to Kevin, had a relationship with Michael for a couple of years, had a fling with Jack Sollars (to whom she was briefly engaged to), then married Victor.

Arnie was a huge slut though.

reply

When was Grace engaged to Jack Sollars?

reply

She was sexually aggressive with the men she was with, but certainly wasn't a slut opening her legs to anyone. As MuMu pointed out, that was Arnie. I find it pretty damned sexist to single Grace out on that show as the one who was a slut. WTF?

reply

Obviously Arnie was a slut. But I didn't make the post about him. This isn't two compare the two as to which is the bigger slut, just making an observation about Grace...totally independent of anything to do with Arnie.

You find it pretty damned sexist do you? Too bad for you.Indulge us, exactly WHY is it sexist to ask a specific thing about a specific character on the show? Or are we now obligated to make a thread about all of the characters on the show asking the exact same question just to appease the ridiculously over the top, politically correct forum nazi's such as yourself. By the way, can you name another female character on the show that slept with more people?

reply

It's not bad enough that society does it to real-life women; now we have to be slut-shaming fictional characters, too? I imagine you must feel very good about yourself for pointing this out. Kudos.

reply

I'm glad you agree she's a slut. And yes, I feel fantastic, thanks for the kudos.

reply

That's what I figured you'd say. I feel sorry for you.

Good, I crave pity from psychoanalysts who troll internet forums predicting what people are going to say after they say it...that's quite a skill. Your pity is just what I need to fill this yawning chasm of emptiness I feel in my soul. For just a random person on the internet to take the time....well, I'm just amazed. My faith in humanity is restored.

What to predict what I'm going to say next? You'll be a hell of a lot less pathetic if you can say you know what I am going to say BEFORE I say it.

reply

I didn't think much of it when watching 1st run, but she did get around! The only one I can think of that she turned down was Leland when he kissed her out of the blue waiting for an elevator! ;-/

Men and women are judged by different standards, as they should be, inasmuch as it's women who get pregnant. That's not sexism, it's reality.

Get the facts first - you can distort them later!

So, how many times HAVE you had your account suspended, stud?

I’m up to season 5, episode 10. I agree - Grace’s behavior is unlikable. You don’t date the best friend of your ex-lover, and then she actually got angry at Victor for speaking to Michael: she completely ignores how close Victor and Michael were.
