After seeing the movie, I don't see what all the fuss was about. Granted, the movie is deeply flawed, but I don't think it's the train wreck that people want you to believe.

@bartallenii I wouldn't go that far. It's definitely very different from the cartoon but it still has some of the basics of what Jem is about.
shareNo, it really doesn't. The only things this movie has in common with the cartoon is the characters names. The only character that even remotely looks like her original counterpart is Kimber. Everyone else was either a boring blank slate or completely changed from their cartoon counterpart. And what they did to Synergy here is completely unforgivable.
And I'm not counting that five second cameo from the Misfits, something that SHOULD have been in the movie from the get go. This movie was a complete slap in the face.
