This movie is full of Tracy Whitney/Madolyn Smith look-alikes!!!

Anyone notice during this miniseries (which I obviously have watched wayyy to many times) that throughout there are several Tracy Whitney look-alikes that pop up here and there for no apparent reason? It seems like it was some kind of inside joke to me... any thoughts? Besides the obvious one in the picture at Heathrow Airport, there is the waitress in New Orleans where Tracy is talking to Ernie and her husband, the photos of look-alikes at the Interpol station and many more... Anyone else think this is interesting?

No, I mean like there were actresses all during the movie that REALLY looked like Madolyn Smith, as if they were meant to be red herrings or an inside joke or something..
