how many episodes?
Does anyone know how many episodes were in this series? And was the total run time 304 minutes?

Yes there were three episodes in total. I think they covered the whole book.
(On the DVD release..)
The first episode ran for 2 hours 12 minutes and 12 seconds.
The second ran for 1 hour 28 minutes and 53 seconds.
The third ran for 1 hour 30 minutes and 9 seconds.
I would like to credit Maurice Binder for his beginning sequence. When I saw it for the first time I remember saying it looked like is was done by the person who did many of the James Bond beginning sequences. A great sequence anyway.

In the final scene after Tracey has retired she catches a flight and happens to be seated next to Maximillian Pierpont. He was the big fish who pulled his sailing reservation (so Tracey played two chess champions instead). I mention this because I think Sheldon was trying to get the point across that there will always be something to tempt her to come out of retirement.
