What ended up happening to Howard Hessman (Mr. Moore)? Why was he replaced by Billy Connolly? If anyone has the inside details as to what really happened off camera too I'd like to know. Same with why Jawaralal and Janice left?
shareOn the show, Mr. Moore got an acting job or something, so that is how Billy became their new teacher. Also on the show, Jawaralal moved to California and Janice went to college early.
From what I read, Howard Hesseman left because he did feel like it was the same or something. I'm thinking that he wasn't happy. I don't know why the other actors left.
Howard Hesseman wanted to move on to other things, so they brought in Billy Connolly as the new history teacher. They said on the show that Moore got the lead in the road company production of Death of a Salesman. As for the others, I don't know why they changed actors. Maybe the show wanted to be fresh so they got rid of some people and brought in others.
