The release of Cowboys + Aliens in July

Might help get this show back on the air for awhile anyway.

The buzz and anticipation surrounding "C&A" could definitely be used to the advantage of the rights holders to properties like "Galaxy Rangers", "The Wild West C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa" and especially "Bravestarr".

In fact, Mill Creek recently re-released the first two seasons of "Bravestarr" on DVD, which may be just a coincidence but never the less it could be a happy one.

Heck, even genre flops like "Jonah Hex" could see a spike in interest as fans hitup Netflix or the bargain bin @ Wal-Mart to whet their appetites for "C&A" or satiate their post-"C&A" hunger.

I hope so. If JEM can be revived on HUB anything should be! Plus JEM is slated for a reboot. I know it's not a cowboy western but the cartoon was dreadful yet it's getting a lot of attention.

Compared to Adventures Of The Galaxy Rangers, Cowboys and Aliens doesn't do the space western genre any justice. Hell, even BraveStarr is better than Cowboys and Aliens. I'd even watch Oblivion and Backlash: Oblivion 2, as corny as they are, over the nonsense that was Cowboys and Aliens. The comic book is mediocre, the movie is substandard, and the aliens are garbage. The only good thing about this piece of trash formulaic Hollywood bubble gum popcorn fluff is the special effects that showed some pretty cool alien devices and weapons. Beyond that, nobody should give Hollywood any more money for them to try franchise that terrible film. The nerve of those big shot producers! >:^(

JEM OMG JEM gets a reboot?

In what form? Will it be a live action movie or cartoon?

Wasn't there going to be a Thundercats movie too?

Well, since I first posted in this thread I saw "C&A" and I hate to say it but it's awful. The worst movie I saw in 2011.

Muggy, talk of a "Jem" reboot has been gaining steam since Hasbro reacquired the rights to their old Sunbow animated series. They recently released the entire series on DVD through Shout Factory, which they promoted heavily @ the New York Comic-Con back in October.

With the series bringing in boffo ratings on The Hub and selling well on DVD, my guess is a re-launch of some sort is on the horizon, maybe even a live action film, but a new cartoon and toy line is a safer bet.

"Thundercats", like "Masters of the Universe", "Voltron" and "Robotech", was being developed as a live-action film, but also like those properties it hit a wall and so they shifted the focus to an animated feature film. This almost happened, with a full script being completed (Which I've read and was very "Meh!"), concept art and 2 minutes of proof of concept footage. But eventually this was shelved too and instead development on a new weekly TV series began and it made its debut this fall, with a new retail toy line to support it.

Interesting news

I wasn't a fan of JEM but I did like the Misfits. I thought they looked a bit hotter then Jem and her flunkies

reply

Agree %100. The Misfits were waaaaay hotter than the goodie-goodie Holograms, especially Roxy http://a3.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/32/cd27a1b77bdc1bb59b5b57c 5d30e8548/l.jpg. Every guy loves the bad girl, right?

Oh yeah........ My dream bad girl would be like Roxy but with red hair and drive a motorcycle. It's a pity there's not many pictures of the misfits on the net that are any good. All small low res.
