Anyone familiar with the city

If you ever (or currently) live(d) in Fresno. I'm sorry. I lived there for 3 (hellish) years. I think that is quite possibly the worst city in California. I moved to Fresno, with my mother from Fairfield, Ca and I was furious for dragging me to hell (fresno). We have relatives near there (in Madera) and they were the only family we had left and she wanted to be near them. We saw them just as much living there as we did living in Fairfield. Thankfully I moved to So Cali and she is trying to move down here to be near us. She cant wait to get out of that God forsaken town and I dont blame her one bit.

I took a train from Los Angeles to San Francisco and passed through Fresno. I was amused at how their city hall was right by the train tracks and looked like some alien spacecraft.

I can't imagine it being all *that* bad there though... it looked okay from my Amtrak window!

Born and raised in Fresno.

I kind of hate it. But there are worse towns out there, especially in the valley. I am trying to make the best of Fresno, it's not all that bad. I would not like being stuck here forever, and well, statistically I am likely to, but I can think of worse cities to be stuck in forever.

Born and raised, and as soon as I finished school I got the hell out and never looked back. I remember as a kid when they filmed this miniseries. They did some on location shooting in Fresno, and when Carol Burnett was in town, it was like the second coming of Christ.

Yeah I don't mind living here either, and like anywhere, It all depends on which neighborhood i'm sure AND how fast paced you want your life. As for your relatives that live in Madera, I feel more sorry for them...THAT PLACE SCARES THE $*%& out of me!
