Writing Credits

Why isn't Cameron Crowe listed in the writing credits for "characters" or anything for that fact?

Not sure Crowe did any writing for the tv series. I think this, as well as the original film was more Amy Heckerling's baby. (I know he wrote the script, but she truly brought it to life). I know she directed at least one of the episodes, Other than that, I'm not certain.
