Trailer for EDGE OF DARKNESS starring Mel Gibson

I imagine purists won't be pleased by this trailer, but it at least looks quite fun. Nice to se Mel Gibson in a starring role again.

Yeah...another Hollywood massacre of sophisticated European/International storytelling. Can't wait for "Step Son of Macbeth: Gunna Git You McSucka!" starring some of the UK's finest Shakespearean actors, Snoopy Snoop Doggy Dog, Fiddy Stench and Eminemmental.

Oh...and the world doesn't need yet another self-indulgent, self-aggrandising and self-deluded "message-movie" from Gibson, either.

Which of his movies do you place in THAT category?

You know what you should do? This would really teach him a lesson too...don't see it. Don't even think about it. Don't acknowledge it. That'll really show him who's in charge. Sure it'll probably make millions dollars, entertain several million people, and get at least a 7 on imdb, but Mel Gibson won't see any of your $8.50. This way, when it's in theaters and you haven't seen it, you can act like it was the worst movie ever, even though you never gave it a chance. After that, you can tell all of your friends/coworkers how bad it was, and when they ask about which part was the worst, you can tell them that you didn't bother watching it when you saw the original, which is light years beyond the remakethatyouneversawthateveryoneistalkingaboutgoingtosee (yes that was meant to be without spaces). Just look at how horrible all other remake movies are, such as "3:10 to Yuma" and you'll realize this plan is foolproof.

Didn't know that this was a remake of something else. Just know that it is a MEL GIBSON-as-hero flick. I am definitely going to see it tomorrow. The only Mel Gibson movie I didn't really like was 'The Patriot' because I just didn't think Heath Ledger was cute enough to play Mel Gibson's son.

Except its the same director that did the original mini series
