Thanks for the news. I had been planning to make some posts on this board. During the sixth season (after Delta left) I was a frequent visitor to the set of this series. I had the chance to get to know almost all of the main stars. Meshach was definitely one of the friendliest-- in fact, I would probably say he was the nicest of the entire cast. One evening in December 1991, after filming had been completed on a new episode, a friend of mine wanted his autograph.

While the rest of the cast and crew made a quick exit (it was almost 1 AM and the show's filming took many, many hours each week), Meschach was kind and generous with his time and willing to sign an autograph. He also took the script he had just finished using and autographed it and gave it to me, without my even asking for an autograph. He wrote 'Best wishes' across the top of the script, followed by his signature. It was a treasured item I kept for many years until it was unfortunately lost in one of my moves. At any rate, I will never forget how gracious and pleasant he was to his fans.

Jarrodmcdonald how sad that you lost the script but what a wonderful memory regardless! Meshach always seemed like he would have been the nicest person in real life and it's nice to hear that he was such. Great story!
