Absolutely! This is as good as television gets, and it holds up extremely well even after several decades. Julia Sugarbaker's rants are the stuff of legend.
shareYES. I'd rather own the show on DVD and watch the whole show instead of random episodes that air. Best thing about DVDs is no commercials.

I'll admit that I have a passion for certain episodes and at certain times will be in the mood for a particular one, but won't randomly choose it to watch like I do with other sitcoms in my collection. I can memorize most of the lines from the NY's 89/90 episode, as well as some of Julia's rants and certain quips of the various characters, but as the years go by, it isn't one I crave to see over and over again.

Yes! I own up to season 5. I'm planning to buy the rest of the series soon.
