Who has the DVD box sets?
I need to know if they have the ORIGINAL music or not. It just won't be the same without the original music.
shareSOME music was replaced on the first season DVD set, but I've never compared my VHS tapes to the DVDs to really be able to tell you which songs.
Season 2 (on DVD) took SO long to come out, I thought it might have been to secure music rights. I've read a few reviews of the S2 DVD release online and they indicate all originally used music is intact, but I'm not 100% sure of that myself.
One thing's for sure, the quality of the video on the Season 2 DVDs is probably the worst I've ever seen. For a show of this quality, shameful.

I really didn't think the quality was bad on the 2nd season and at least it was in stereo. The first 6 episodes after the pilot on season one have music replacement, but you can buy those episodes on VHS on Columbia House from ebay for almost nothing.

They look about the same. You're not going to use either of them to demonstrate the capabilities of a fancy home entertainment system. Still, they're perfectly watchable. The less-than-ideal picture and sound actually seem to suit the show.
