A Bluray release please!
Oh man, what I would do for a bluray release of these wonderful series in uncut form, with the original soundtrack, remastered image and commentaries/documentaries from Mann/cast.
A restoration on DVD would suffice. Blu-ray might be overkill for a show from the mid-80's. The first season is *possibly* a candidate for Blu, but not the second, as it is totally inferior visually and budget-wise.

I wouldn't go that far; they're totally watchable. Check out Due South: The Complete Series DVDs. Those make Crime Story look like Avatar on Blu-ray.
But I agree, there is room for improvement for the picture quality of the Crime Story DVDs. I think the first season deserves a frame-by-frame restoration, but sadly the demand will never exist. At least not in our lifetime.
