Can you name one episode of Season 2 that can hold its own against anything from the first season? The only one that comes close in my mind is the finale, barely.
shareDefinitely. Check my list. I think 'Shockwaves' is one of their best episodes - maybe even THE BEST episode.
Just my $0.02.
Overall I agree that Season 2 is not nearly as strong as Season 1, but for me Season 2 definitely has its high points.

While one of the "better" episodes of Season 2, I don't think it carries the same weight as a Season 1 ep. To each his own, though.
High points in Season 2? Well, I still giggle when I remember the Russian pilot Pachenko from "Mig 21" asking where is Mickey Mouse and "The Kink?"
What was the ep from season II that was included Day of the Dead festivities at the hacienda? That rocked.
Poets are made by fools like me, but only God can make STD.

"Love Hurts".
I liked the Moulin Rouge/Seize the Time episodes from Season 2. I also liked the Finale, though it was disappointing as a series ender because of the loose ends.
shareMy favorite was the one in which Luca planted Paulie and Holman at his competitor's casino to bring it down; I believe it was called "The Pinnacle." The one that had this scene:
