The set arrived yesterday and I only watched a few minutes of a few Season 2 episodes, but it appears the picture quality has been 'slightly' improved from the previous DVD release - not much more than that (and I'm probably being kind even with that statement).

The video quality is poor. Extremely grainy and looks compressed at times. A domestic VHS recording of the show when it was originally broadcast would have far better picture quality, I am certain.

Also, I noticed that some of the dialogue sounds like it has been dubbed/censored throughout the episodes. During the interview of Pauli in "Top of the World", Torello refers to him as a "son of a bitch", and the "bitch", clearly, has been silenced. This leads me to believe that the source for the DVD transfer was a syndicated version with edits.

And there are absolutely no special features.

Superlative show, but this DVD presentation is a disgrace.

Okay, the video quality of the second season is a bit better than the first, and, unlike the first season, the audio is in stereo.

They couldn't even keep the episodes in chronological order on the disks. Season 2 is all out of whack. You'll have to consult the IMDb episode guide to know in which order to watch them.
