Consolation

Just be glad they never made a Season 3 - this show really went down the drain after #1 - it jumped the WHALE - never mind the shark - with Luca's atom bomb survival.

It scraped the bottom with the MIG21 episode starring a ripoff of Robin Williams.

Discontinuities aplenty. They also ran the same footage over and over - often in the wrong place. Crumby introduction which wasn't even set up on the menu system so you could skip it - it often started a LONG way into the show - but often the beginnings were just re-runs.

The whole thing could have been better made with a 6 '1-hour episode' TV mini-series. It would have been EXCELLENT.

Nice Car Show of 50-60's - it was a good re-run of my times in Havana recently.

Well just know a person can SURVIVE a nuclear Explosion BUT its 1 in 1 thousand!!!

Well I did like the new episodes and how Ray and Pualie surivived.

But no I didnt like the last ending

reply

I don't think the odds are that good when you can see the explosion in the background - they also had no aftereffects.

In any case it was too whacky for me - and the whackiness got to be more and more - the MiG episode was way over the top.

The show had its very good moments that's why I wonder how any producer or driector would let that inconsistency fly.

Again I am thankful there was no series 3

No there NOT! But one guy did surivive the odds and he was one of the RAREST lucky ones

But yeah the odds are not great for ANYONE to surivive a blast like that. Or to not develop cancer

Which episode again? You mean when Pualie Dreams? that was wacky! Funny too.

Its director. Just to let you know. Yeah I am not good in grammer either. Well i give it leeway at the time I was the same way. But like you say parts of it were great

Again I am thankful there was no series 3

But why?

Now this time I would have ray survive but be very weak and he walks with a limp Torello has a eyepatch all the rest are dead.

Crime Story has been hyped as a forerunner to Hill St Blues, NYPD, etc.

Therefore I was not expecting or wanting some farce attempting to be funny (sorry I never found anything funny in it) - it was no Naked Gun etc! (I enjoyed Sledge Hammer)

The parts that were good were where there was an attempt to be serious.

The ridiculous MiG episode was where some Russian looney hijacked a MiG and flew it to the US. Paulie's Dream can also qualify as pure crap. And as far as that goes Paulie was much too over the top to even be 10% credible.

The show went downhill at a very quick pace - #2 was bad enough without a #3. And I hardly would be looking for any Ray come-back - he's no Robert Mitchum.

Well it become its own show dont you think?

Well sometimes i think we needed to show that gangsters can be funny at times not all the time though.

Yeah but why does it have to be all serious all the time?

If you watched the Carol Burnett show it was serious and funny at the same time

I vaguely remember that epsiode.

Well you didnt like the new drug dealer at the end of the episode?

reply

I really enjoy good comedy - and it can be mixed with serious stuff - eg Columbo had a marvelous combination.

Sorry - I just didn't think the attempted comedy in CS made it - rather it became a poorly done farce IMO.

Let's just agree to disagree.

Oh well we can put it as pualie dreamed the whole thing except for him and Ray when ray was on the Gurney
