We'll never get an acceptable DVD

This is quite possibly my favorite show of all time. By my count, it's been released three separate times on DVD, and always with the same sub-VHS-quality transfer. I'm not asking for a full frame-by-frame restoration and 1080p transfer, but it would be nice to have DVDs that don't look and sound like third generation dubs. Look at "Wiseguy," a show which was produced around the same time. That show recently got a budget release and it looks and sounds more than acceptable. It's nice you can pick this great show up for around 20 bucks, but I'd rather pay 40 and get something I actually enjoy watching.
