Remember this scene...?

In the fantastic episode "The Pinnacle" in season one...

Holman and Pauli are planted as workers in a rival casino. There is a scene where a woman gets into a verbal argument with Holman over her missing necklace. Getting angry that he seems to be mocking her, she slaps him in the face. He responds by literally punching her in the face- very hard. I have played this back, and there is no doubt that this woman was struck in the face with quite a bit of force- the look of astonishment on her face is amazing.

I am not here to raise hell about whether Ted Levine abused this woman or not. But I would dearly love to know what happened at the filming of that scene that made him hit her like that. Were they getting on each other's nerves? If anyone remembers that scene, give me your take on it. Or better yet, if anyone has inside info about it, lol. One of those mysteries that has plagued me for years...

Close to a decade later and still no answer. Now I'm curious too, I'll have to re-watch the episode to see if he really clocks her or not. If it had happened, you figure that the word would have gotten out and around, these kinds of things always do.

I just watched the scene on DVD, and frankly it doesn't look any more real to me than any other Hollywood violence. I think that some well timed head movement and a good sound effect can make a slap look pretty real, and I'm not convinced this is any more real than any others you see...

Indeed.
