In the one scene in the begining of the movie the horse and buggy is setting at a red light there is a gas station on the right and a dairy queen on the left the intersection is 30 east and west and 741 truck east. Does anybody know where that intersection is I know that 30 now bypasses lancaster. I was wondering if that intersection still exist. I am from the area where it was filmed but I was only 3 years old when the movie was released. Thanks
shareThat scene was filmed at the intersection of U.S. 30 and E. Brook Rd./ Hartman Bridge Rd looking north toward E. Brook Rd.. This is at the intersection where the Rockvale Square Outlets are now located. The Dairy Queen was across the street from the Rockvale Square Outlets on the northwest corner of the intersection. In the ensuing 25 years since that scene was filmed there have been marked changes in that intersection. The Dairy Queen is long gone.
shareIsn't there a Wawa there now? Where the Dairy Queen was? Or maybe I'm thinking of another intersection. My grandparents used to live in Gap, but have moved to Landis Homes Retirment Community so I don't remember the area as well anymore. I do remember my mom, my Aunt Jane, and myself had to wait for them to let us drive through where they were shooting one of the scenes. I would have been like 5 or 6 probably, depending when they were actually filming, so I don't remember that much.

The Wawa is on the northeast corner directly across the street from where the Dairy Queen used to be. Taking the place of the Dairy Queen is a Waffle House. Good memory!
