Recently, Movie Cut on HBO

I just watched this movie on HBO and there was 10 minutes cut from the original version I had recorded from Cinemax several years ago. The bedroom scene with Rachel and John and the scene where John's trip to town, where he defends the Amish from the a**hole tourists making fun of them. These were two very impressive scenes in the movie. What gives with HBO?

I recently watched it on HBO and both of those scenes were intact.

I'm a great listener. Just ask the television.

HBO from way back when always show films uncut.

They were the first premium cable service started around 1975, but only here in NYC at first, then they went up on satellite a few years later so the whole nation was able to get HBO.

At first they would post a TV camera in one of the Broadway film Theatres

Make no mistake in the early days they had a lot of box office bombs and in some cases unlike today where they get a film in less then a year, it took a few years for a film to go to HBO.

They had one of TV's first mini series (outside of PBS) "The Pallisers"

They were also the first network to showcase comics uncensored.

A great thing they had at this time of the year was "Rich Little's Christmas Carol" (1978)

Rich did all the parts:
