Just saw this again, I've always loved the barn raising scene

watching them build the entire thing in one day, the entire community coming together as one to get this done and bond with each other. That was probably my favorite part of the movie.

That was a great scene, and there were no shenanigans during the barn raising like there was in Seven Brides For Seven Brothers...

It is bad to drink Jobu's rum. Very bad.

Several years ago, I was driving and had the Witness soundtrack running. It was playing the music from the barn-raising which I just love, and I stopped at a light. I looked across the street. There were a like a dozen or so guys on scaffolding working on the outside of a church. I almost gasped; it looked just like the scene in the movie.

I can confidently say it`s the best barn raising scene I`ve ever seen.

Hm, I very vaguely remember Kingpin. Maybe I should watch it again - you know, for that barn raising scene.
