Pretty much a perfect film

I don't know why this doesn't have 9+ on imdb. Its screenplay is pretty much flawless.

I agree 100%. The drama, the romance, the suspense. Just a perfect movie. I have my list of my favorite movies of all time, it's ranked in the top 10 but I may move it to second place, that's how much I love this movie. I think it's so moving, yet so simple and I prefer this over Top Gun.

Cool.

I agree as well. Wouldn't have changed a thing. Great cast, just perfect.

a very good film for sure

The murder scene required some suspension of disbelief. While not implausible, it did seem very reckless on the part of two experienced cops to choose a public restroom in a busy train station in which to carry out the attack. Someone could have wandered in during the commission of the crime just as easily as the boy had just prior to it. And this also makes the viewer question why they would even be oblivious to his presence in there since they entered within minutes after he did. Not very good reconnaissance on the part of the attackers.

I agree it's pretty frickin awesome!

The kind of movie that gets you high on movies again imo.

It hooks you in with the Crime, then we get to experience an honest and quaint culture (w/ white people - I mean, c'mon, this is a very White Film), and there's even a love story. It's a very fine film. It's too nice to be considered ground breaking but great anyway.

The young actor was annoying.....

I can see that. I thought he was so mild mannered it was hard to hold that against him, but he certainly was very quiet and sort of timid.

It also benefits from Ford not having to be all Indy / Jack Ryan (or whatever the President's name is in AF1). He had a lot of charm as Han Solo and Indy, but something about The Fugitive and AF1, his characterization just seems a little off. He looks like an angry junior high school kid screwing up his nerve to throw a punch, and these types of roles seemed to dominate his later career.
That said, between Star Wars, Indy Jones and Blade Runner, H Ford starred in some of the best films of the time, and Witness is a great addition to his resume.
