I'm watching it on now tv so it's not a copy but when the amish have their conversations in Germany there are no subtitles.

You don't really need subtitles, it's easy to figure out what they are saying, maybe not word for word but you can get the idea. Watch it again and you'll probably get it.

Right. They didn't really seem necessary in this film.

The lines in German language in this movie are not really relevant.
