Rest in Peace, Gregory Hines

Gregory Hines was so brilliant and a true triple threat.

One of the greatest tap dancers the world ever saw.

Wonderful singer.

Fine actor.

Also one of the nicest guys I ever met. He & his brother Maurice used to come down to the Venice Boardwalk in the 70's and dance and hang out, smoke weed & goof around with the conga drummers that played outside with the Pacific Ocean and palm trees as a backdrop. Wonderful guys whom once you saw, you never forgot.

In all the 45 years I lived in LA, I never heard anyone who ever met or worked with Gregory say an unkind word about him. He was universally loved and admired. What a legacy to be known as one of the kindest, gentlest, funniest and greatest artists who ever lived.

You are greatly missed Gregory.

Rest in Peace, Sweet Slim Mocha Cioccolate Angel. Surely you still dance out there somewhere. <3 <3 <3

Never met the man, however, I agree with your opinion. He was a triple threat and sadly died too young.

Never met him, but saw him perform at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. Incredible. So much charisma and talent! Loved seeing him and Maurice together in The Cotton Club. Another silly movie with great dance sequences.
