Any hope of a STUDIO RELEASE (not pub domain/VHS) coming to Region1 DVD?

If you can't afford a multi-region DVD player and a PAL compatible TV then I'd advice doing a little research and find some decent DVD authoring software for your computer (I've never needed it so I can't recommend any program I'm afraid), then:

01 - Buy the British region 2 DVD
02 - Using the software...
03 - Make an image copy of all contents of the disc...
04 - Erase the region encoding and then convert to NTSC format...
05 - Burn an NTSC format DVD-R copy.

You can now watch the movie without replacing your TV or DVD player.

And considering that both Film Four and Fox hold various rights in relation to this movie (and ignoring the fact that legally there is no way this movie could be considered public domain in the USA) I somehow doubt anyone would have the balls to do a "public domain" DVD as they would would immediately find themselves at the receiving end of an almighty lawsuit.

"I think you're a load of old crap too, Mr Mulligan.
