Shown on Fox sports 1 last night ..why?

Kinda obscure movie for Fox to pick. 1985 not a box office hit.

But in retrospect a very conservative movie that emphasizes hard work, challenges and goal setting.

I wonder if there was a deeper meaning in Fox picking this movie (conservative anger against Democrats obsession with fairness?)

I don't know if the panty sniffing scene was left intact, I bailed after 15 minutes.

Fox Sports 1, aka FS1 has a bunch of sports talk opinion shows as well as some sporting events. They don't broadcast movies. You must be getting confused with FX network

No it was that channel. I don't think their sports network is doing well so they show movies to fill time slots.

It's wrestling movie. Sports movie on a Sports Channel.

I can assure you real life high school wrestling is not scripted. It is a valid sports event.

The two lasting images for me were obviously the panty sniffing scene and the other was "Couch" carrying that huge log in his shoulders as he walked up the bleachers.

That was Shute carrying the log. Kuch (not Couch) was the main character’s teammate and friend.
