I think its a guy movie. My dad tried to get me to watch it and I was bored out of my mind!!! My brother seemed to like it though...I don't know I left half way threw.

I was born in '81. . .my sister is 10 years older than I am. She could probably relate to this flick more than I could, but. . .it's really one of my two favorite movies ever. That could just be because Matthew Modine trips my trigger. ;)

It doesn't matter if you are a dude or a chick. If you didn't go to high school in the mid-80's, you probably just won't appreciate this movie. I was a 14 and in the 10th grade when this movie came out. To this day, this movie is still responsible for my big-hands fetish (I just can't stand men with little bitty hands).

Good call. Guy or girl, you had to have had pubes in the 80's to enjoy this movie or you had to have been on a wrestling team in the 80s. I would think that most contemporary teens would see this and say "Sick...why are those dudes wearing man bikinis?"

Girls love this movie too....of course, I'm an 80's girl, class of '84...my high school sweetheart was on the wrestling team, I love Michael Schoeffling, and of course....Madonna's there as well! Awesome movie! Probably in my top 10 sports movies!

This movie can be good for either a guy or a girl... I'm not sure what "pubes" have to do with anything, afterall, plenty of people shave or nair them...

So anyway... This movie is about coming of age, having a dream and accomplishing it... Louden Swain's ability to stumble over his feet, when it comes to his virginity and deep desire to UNvirginize himself, simply made me smile...

Great soundtrack... Nice storyline... Acting was pretty good... Guy or Girl, see this movie...!

Please, this is a total "chick flick.." Most of this cheesy movie concentrates on a romantic relationship, complete with a sappy love song that plays over and over again. There is very little wrestling in this film at all. as a guy i found this hard to sit through..
