I don't think there is an explanation for the ending. It seems to be one of those lazy "the audience can write their own ending" endings.
shareIt appears that she had the goods on him, no matter what those goods were. I suspected he was involved in the underworld financing of the adult theater, and probably some other nefarious activities. Whether he actually showed up to meet her is left for us to decide.
shareIt really looked to me that neither of them showed up at the meeting place. Perhaps they each decided to leave the "relationship" on the level of unfulfilled fantasy. Perhaps that's a tragedy of indulging in pornography.
