In the end, what good did it all do?

Ok great, the kid was messing with Tyler for the entire movie and that was enjoyable. But what did it accomplish other than giving everybody the satisfaction of dissing that mayor? Did it help his brother? I don't see how. Did it help him, or did it just get him arrested? I assume it got him arrested after vandalizing a court building and all these other places. And that whole craze about them selling merchandise with Turk on it I"m sure didn't last too long. I'd be willing to bet 1 week later Turk was old news and long forgotten. SO when we saw at the end where everybody got a kick out of it and acted like he was some kind of hero, it just made me wonder what good it really did. I mean yeah, he definitely had public opinion on his side, but that in no way means his brother's situation would've been resolved at any point by another mayor.

Well, how much good did Travis Bickle really do???? Gimme a break! It's a great piece of entertainment, with little bloodshed.

I didn't say I didn't like the movie. I was just pointing out that his actions, as satisfying as they may have been to screw with the Mayor, did nothing to help his cause.
