Something I didn't understand about Frankie

When Frankie is having dinner with Morgan's parents and Morgan's mom makes that comment about going to the Botanical gardens to check out the roses and then suggests Frankie bring her mom, Frankie spills something on herself, gets furious, yells at Morgan and storms out. I didn't understand that. Morgan's mom (regardless of her stuck up attitude)didn't know Frankie's mom had died. How was she supposed to know? Frankie acted like it was an intentional insult when it clearly wasn't. I didn't get that part at all. I though Frankie was very rude to just storm out like that.

She was. I think it was a mixture of being uncomfortable from feeling as if she didn't fit in than her reaction to the mention of her mother. She behaved immaturely by running away but lets face it, she is/was a teenager.

I always thought that Morgan should have worded up his parents about Frankie a little more, especially about her mother being dead.

But I guess the writers needed a situation that would make Morgan leave early and end up back in Nick's possession and they ran with that.
