WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE PART IN THIS 80'S CLASSIC?

I THOUGHT THE OPENING SCENE TO THIS MOVIE WAS REALLY KOOL,BECAUSE IT IMMEDIATELY SETS THE TONE FOR THE PICTURE.AND OF COURSE MY FAVORITE LINE IN THE WHOLE FILM WHEN NICK TELLS MORGAN HE SHOULD JUST ICE HIS A$$ RIGHT NOW AND MORGAN SAYS WHY,BECAUSE I DANCED WITH ONE OF YOUR BOYFRIENDS.I MEAN EVEN NICK THOUGHT THAT WAS FUNNY.AND OF COURSE THEY STEAL HIS CAR AND THEN JIMMY SAYS I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY STOLED YOUR CAR MAN AND MORGAN REPLIES I DON'T OWN A CAR MAN.AND THEN THE SCENE WITH NICK GETTING PULLED OVER BY THE COPS IS PRICELESS.

reply

ONE OTHER SCENE THAT IS GOOD IS WHEN THEY SNEEK INTO THE EL CANNON COUNTRY CLUB.I LOVE ROBERT DOWNEY JR.'S CHARACTER JIMMY,HE STEALS THE WHOLE SCENE,WHEN HE IS STEALING FOOD,AND REYNOLDS CATCHES HIM,AND ANOTHER PART WAS WHEN HE WAS MAKING FUN OFF THAT GOOFBALL DANCING.

reply

I like the school sceen with the bike.
Also the opening scene is very very good as is the ending.
The whole move is super! I also like when they get in the Camaro and drive to the country club.

The part with Jim f*ing carrol.. the part where a wounded looking spader takes his broken bike home over his back tragically.. the part where a bondage pant wearing robert downey jr bursts in with his dobermans to save the day, only to be immediately shot in the leg leaving him helpless for the rest of the scene.

WTF?

One of my fav parts is when frankie and her friend(Ronnie) are eating and they see
nicks car drive up and frankie get all happy thinking nick is outta jail so she shoved ronnies food in her face(after ronnie gave her some lip) and they take off to get in the car and ronnie sees jimmy and says something like "thank you god" or some *beep* like that.

reply

The warehouse scene where the fight never seems to end

reply

SORRY,BUT I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT FIGHT WAS DONE REALLY WELL.THEY EVEN WON A STUNTMAN AWARD FOR THAT FIGHT SCENE TOO.

reply

My favourite part is when Morgan silently drops down from the rafters in the wearhouse at the end, lands very quietly, and disarms that one blond haired thug before putting him to sleep with the "gun." That was so stealthy and cool that I really enjoyed watching the bad guy get put down without it involving shooting him full of holes. BTW, I could swear he was called "Bernie," but I don't know who that is as there's no reference of "Bernie" in the cast- anyone help me out on this one? The blond haired thug with the pipe...who is that?

reply

His name was Bernie. I bought the dvd.

reply

Was Morgan meant to be wearing eyeliner during the fight scene or was that just unfortunate???????

reply

My favorite part was the end credits. It let me know the nightmare had ended. Now, if I could just get back that hour and fifty minutes of life I wasted. :(

reply

This was a classic 80's movie. What is there not to like about it??? You hated the movie so much you spent your time to come and talk about it huh.

reply

The warehouse scene with Jim Carroll, damn those songs kick ass, and the final fight in the warehouse. I also love the scene in the country club where Spader is singing to Kim Richards. Oh, man, it is wonderfully bad I giggle and cringe. This movie is one of my all time favorites. It is best viewed after The New Kids. That is a double feature you can't beat!

YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE IS PROBABLY LEONARD PART 6!

Ditto Salem. With the darkness, the music, it's a great opening. Really gets you into the movie. I really like that song and felt it really fit. I mean, the woman is singing about the "darkness of the night" and the majority of the stuff revolves around his fighting with a gang that hangs out at night and does illegial things. The main fight even takes place at night. The shooting of the father. Etc. Could it possible be any more appropriate???

My favorite parts are as follows:

1. When Frankie firsts sees Morgan on the bike.
2. When Morgan holds ground against Nick's bullies and Jimmy goes, "That guys got a *$#@ death wish."
3. When they're at the dance and Jimmy is on the drums watching them.
4. The Country Club scene.
5. Morgan and Nick's fight at the end.

Pretty much the whole movie, but those are my favorite parts, lol.

PERFECTLY STATED

Definitely the Jim Carroll Band.

I liked the part with Jim Carroll and I liked when Robert Downey Jr. is chasing after James Spader in Nick's car and he's running from him! That was so funny! The other scene I like was when they go to the country club or whatever. I love that movie, makes me wish I was around in the eighties.

at the country club when spader is singing to richards- classic

and pretty much the rest of this movie

reply

The opening scene, The scene where they're all dancing in that big warehouse - SO 80's, and when they pick up the girls from that burger place on their way to the golf club and the song Breakin The Rules (Opposites Attract) plays....the fight scene was cool too.

reply

One of my favorite lines from any movie was when the lead singer of the country club band is checking out the audience. It was full of yuppies and such. He asks one guy (over the PA system), "Did you come in a BMW? I came in a BMW once!"

reply

My favorite scene was probably the bicycle scene when Morgan is trying to get his bicycle back. It takes guts to stand there in the middle street when that speeding car crushed his bike. My other favorite scene had to be Frankie dancing in the club.

reply

At the Country Club when Frankie's friend tells the girls "this is the 80's! I mean, you DO swallow right?"

All the girls are shocked and nod their heads in the affirmative while they're looking away...

CLASSIC!

reply

- The fight scene in the warehouse, from the beginning to the end. Highlights are Jimmy arriving with the dogs, and Frankie telling Nick off about his view of "everyone who isn't a part of your gang."

- The visit at the golfclub, and of course, Frankie's dancing.

EDIT: Oh yeah and after reading a post above, to add, Ronnie's "thank you God."
