The only error for this movie is based on an idea that Thelma is going to Louisiana, I am pretty sure she said she is going to NewGulf, Texas, which was in the "right direction" (southwest from Houston). I think she mentioned that she was coming FROM Louisianna.

What I remember is that Thelma is going to Texas to be with her parents, who just moved from Louisiana.
