A high school with 2 basketball teams?

I assume Mick went to the same high school as Scott, but why were they on different basketball teams? Is this a sign of continuity?

Perhaps you are right, because Mick seemed popular at Scott's school. I think this was something the writer over looked.

I never got the impression that Mick went to the same school. He was dating Pamela and picked her up after school... it's not like if you go to one school, it's trespassing if you walk on the grounds of another.

And to answer another question that might pop up after saying that... he went to the dance to beat up Scott and get his girl back. He was meant to be her date that night, and jealousy took over.

I'd have to look closer, or listen harder, but do the Jerseys they wear have the same school name on it? Or did anyone actually say in the movie they are both the same school?

I don't think anyone did, so I don't think Mick was going to Beaver High or whatever the heck it was?

I always believed Mick went to another high school in the same town and had visitation rights.

they went to different schools, Mick could easily have been from a bordering town

I have always been under the impression that the teams were "club teams" within the same high school and not the actual high school team. Maybe I am wrong...

Maybe varsity and jr varsity.
