Why did Pamela all of the sudden stopped liking Mick?
At the end of the final basketball game why did Pamela all of the sudden stopped liking Mick? That was one part I could never understand, of course I didn't really feel bad for Mick

share1 reason, his team lost the game. she wanted to indentify with winners & goes running to scott.

Because she was an opportunist who only wanted to ride on other peoples' popularity, just wanted to jump on the bandwagon whenever somebody was popular. Like she started liking Scott only because he was the Wolf, and the popular guy of the hour, the novelty item. She said "Drop dead," to Mick, because his team lost, and he would no longer be the popular guy. She was shallow. By the end, Scott saw her for who she really was. That's why he went past her to Boof. Because Boof liked him for who he really was, popular or not. What Boof felt toward Scott was real. Pamela was fake.
shareI don't think she ever really liked him to begin with. It was just that peer pressure thing. Mick was the local basketball star, good-looking, cool, and Pamela was the hottest girl in school. She felt she had to be with the coolest guy in town. I didn't feel bad for Mick either, but frankly, Pamela was worse than Mick.
