Boof?!?

Gotta love Boof! She looked quite a bit like my high school girlfriend (no, we didn't end up together).

My question is, according to IMDB, the character's name was "Lisa Marconi". Where the heck does "Boof" come from?!?

Did she boof on Scott at some point earlier in their lives? One time a drunk girl boofed in the sink of my apartment in college, and we DID NOT fall in love. After a friends' wedding about 10 years ago, I boofed all the way down I-95 from Savannah, GA to Tampa, FL. Luckily I was married by that time and it was too late for my wife to back out. She already agreed to sickness and health, and mixing White Russians + Whiskey Sours, nanny-nanny boof-boof!

Actually, I'm totally serious here. Someone help me please! I get that Stiles was Rupert Stilinski. No problem. Now, what is a Boof, and why?

By the way, if the film explains this, please forgive and enlighten me. It's only been about 25 years since I saw it.

IDK, I always assumed it was everyone's nickname for her because I don't recall anyone using her full name at any point in the film.

BTW, Susan Ursitti...one of the hottest women on this here planet, I pray to have a Boof.

I don't the the film ever explained it.

I think it was just a childhood nick name that he gave her, like how people sometimes call each other 'Boo'...I always thought it was a combination of 'Boo' and 'Poof' (because, POOF...she always pops up whenever she's needed)...= 'Boof'...

I don't think it has anything to do with 'barfing' ...I think they were just kids and Scott or her family just nicknamed her 'boof'.

Hey I know Susan personally. Shes so awesome. Comes from a big italian family like me out in LI. But she isn't doing any more acting tho.

Does she know how utterly hot she was and still is?

reply

I know it's not spelled the same, but I always thought her name was a jab at the old Bouffant hair do's of the 50's - like maybe she had one as a kid [you know how bad some people's hair styles were on picture day] and that's how she got her nickname.

Obviously, her character had a back story that would explain the ridiculous nickname. I am just shocked that nobody has pinned the writers down and asked them what exactly that back story was.

reply

Agreed. The origins of Lisa "Boof" Marconi's nickname would have been the perfect plot for Teen Wolf 3: Teen Boof.

I am shocked and dismayed at Hollywood.

Apropos of nothing, I think the bouffant hairstyle comment made the most sense.

Watching Teen wolf right now on netflix & just noticing how much hotter boof was compared to that chick scott liked, why would he turn her down, wonder what happened to the actress or how she looks now?

reply

safreak look the actress Susan Ursitti up on facebook. She's still hot.

reply

Why do guys always insist on every forum they'd pick Boof over Pamela, Janet over Chrissy, Mary Ann over Ginger, etc..? Like what does this prove exactly?

Btw, I don't buy it for a second. Put in an actual situation with those two chicks, all you liars would pick PAMELA every time!

reply

i pick boof because i'm a nerd fetishist. in these type movies i always fall for the nerdy girls. rarely for the hot sexy ones. also, i am not partial to blonds. i prefer darker hair.

but boof is supercute and was my supercrush.

the rest: i always chose chrissy. even over the chrissy clones. who doesn't choose ginger?

but since we're all in fantasy land. why can't we have just one big mad orgy with all these hotties.

According to AMC Story Notes, "Boof" was a real name of the writer's high school girlfriend.
