This is the absolute *WORST* movie I've ever seen. Horrible acting. Horrible story. Dull all the way through. I can't believe anyone would have wasted their time watching it. This is second only to Reindeer Games as the worst movie I've ever, ever seen.
Make up your mind. Is it "the absolute *WORST* movie I've ever seen" or is it "second only to Reindeer Games as the worst movie I've ever, ever seen".
I've watched it several times, and didn't waste my time doing so (unlike you).
Far from being a great film, the script is a bit bumpy in places, with some longueurs early on. "Horrible acting" ? NO, not from Hackman - not possible. But Carla, the Nurse, and one or two other minor German characters shouldn't have been allowed in front of a camera... I liked the treatment of the father/son realationship, being so scratchy with each other, but having to co-operate. That worked for me.
esc_209 is just an a-hole who is tryin to write something provocative, and hoping for as many as possible to read his genuine post "Worst movie ever". Poor fellow, and aspecially as Target is one of Hackman's best movies. I grew up with this movie. Great movie.
It felt a lot like a TV movie, but IMO wasn't terrible, just average. It was adequate early hours fare when I saw it it last night while suffering from a brutal dose of insomnia, anyway. I think I must be the only person alive who enjoyed Deception (AKA Reindeer Games)
I agree about the TV movie feel. The characters seemed fairly cardboardy, but it's generally fun to watch Hackman and Dillon in whatever they're in. They weren't given very good material to work with, unfortunately.
This film was nonstop action. Exciting, almost "Ludlum-esque" with its plot twists and excitement. I don't see how anyone could call this film, "boring."
just watched it for the first time and found it quite entertaining.Hackman was excellent as usual, while Damon overacted at times with his outbursts and tantrums. Overall a good, late night,action/espionage movie. How anyone can call it the "worst movie ever" is beyond me.
So many people write how they think a film sucked but never back it up. Saying horrible acting , horrible story etc etc. What acting was horrible , what part of the story didn't you like ? Shut up or back it up.
"So, a thought crossed your mind? Must have been a long and lonely journey"
