And to be perfectly honest; it was a pretty decent movie. Something I'd watch again, something I'd recommend. I'd set it in the same caliber as True Lies.

It's not something that's on my top 100.

But you don't have to be sarcastic and strange about it; maybe the person just really liked it. :shrug:

I think it's a good movie too, but nothing to go crazy over.

I guess i've always liked it, because I initially had low expectations of it, being an independent HBO movie.

When I watch it, it's more for nostalgic reasons now than anything.

Saw this movie for the first time ever on SHOWTIME last night and really enjoyed it...Gene Hackman is always worth watching and delivers his accustomed solid performance and Matt Dillon was susprisingly effectve (yes,and pretty damn hot too)as his son. The onscreen chemistry between the two was so strong that it was easy to overlook some minor implausibilities in the storyline and the overwrought performances of the rest of the cast. Hackman and Dillon made it worth watching.

Gene Hackman can make just about any movie watchable and he does it again here...there are som plot holes you can drive a truck through and the quality of Matt Dillon's performance is debatable but Hackman is solid, as always, and carries the film.

Gene Hackman makes just about anything watchable and this movie was no exception and yes, Matt Dillon looked REALLY good in this movie.
