Haha did you post this on like all John Cusack movies? Either way if you took the time to watch "1408", "War, Inc.", "Identity" or "Martian Child" or most of his other films you would know that John Cusack has not outlived his as you so call it, "shelf life". His acting is always top notch and often makes a movie almost better than it should be (case in point "Serendipity"), and otherwise most of his films are pretty well acclaimed even though he isn't an actor that is in the spot light. The only film that I have seen with him in it that I really disliked was "Must Love Dogs", and that wasn't because of his acting rather the film was a piece of crap. "2012" was nothing special but at the same time it was entertaining as any of those kind of entertaining but meaningless films are meant to be. Personally I can't wait to see his acting in "The Raven" and also i'm a huge Edgar Allan Poe fan so... Anyway I think you should really watch his films because I don't think you have (just because you don't hear about them doesn't mean they're not good is a good rule with all the creative arts). On the other hand if you have seen a lot of his films post 2000 then well we have way too different tastes to debate this topic.
