I was maybe 16 and initially thought "hey it's one of the nerds from Sixteen Candles in a lead role and he's playing a college student?" Didn't recognize anybody else at the time. I had not seen the movie since it was in theaters until now on Youtube and I didn't even know Tim Robbins was in it playing Gary Cooper!

Totally reminded me of the 80's, since the young folks then were not so uptight and uncommunicative like now and the young folks that aren't uptight are too much of those grunge hipster skateboarding types!

Yep. I was 14.... This is a great movie! Huge crush on John Cusack back then!

Yep. I was 31...Huge crush on John Cusack back then. Because of this movie, I have always had a soft spot for Daphne Zuniga as well, and will always give anything she is in a chance.

Me, too!!! John Cusack was cute in Eight Men Out, also...I saw this the day it came out at the movies....

Yep, I would have been 15 or 16. My best friend and I were in a band named 86'd at the time (after the Circle Jerks song) and we got pretty excited when John Cusack was teaching how to shotgun a beer and he said "86 the pen." And I thought the exact same thing- "Hey wasn't this dude in 16 Candles?"

Another useless bit of trivia- the other nerd from 16 Candles was a punk back then, I used to see him at gigs around LA and OC. I was never sure it was actually the same guy until relatively recently.
