I've just watched an Asian DVD of the film, msany,many years after seeing it at the cinema : is there a scene in which Helena sleeps with Fred ? even if only suggested ? The Asian DVD does not have such a scene but my failing memory thinks that the original had such a scene.

shareAs far as I know she doesn't. She hangs out with him and his buddies for the night but then the next day she tells her husband "I didn't even cheat on you...I didn't even want to cheat on you". So I assume that she didn't.
She basically hung out with him, smoked a joint and watched Big Bill lift some steel with the subway workers.
Thankfully, no sex scene.
Actually, sex at that time was generally impossible due to the excessive shoulder padding, which meant that you couldn't get close enough to your betrothed to sink the pink into the stink.
It was cut together in a way that suggested Fred and Helena have sex, but it was just cutting two scenes together where they are changing clothes - nothing to do with each other, but cut that way in the trailer, it looked pretty steamy.
