Song during car chase

Hi All,

I have seen this film several times, on Video, TV (Channel 4 UK) and DVD. However when they showed it on Channel 4. There was a different song in the first car chase, I am trying to find out what it is and who song it.

The lyrics go something like .... I've been a victim of you love...

Anyone know what it is??

Cheers

Sunil

PS It's not an Eric Serra jobbie.

If you check under 'alternate versions' on IMDB, it says this:

"An alternate version has been shown on television in the UK. During the car chase sequence, the music (titled "Speedway" on the soundtrack album) has been replaced with the song "The Murder Of Love" by German band Propaganda."

Speedway is the better song, though, I think :-)

Thanks for that. I have been after it for years!!! I can't believe it was on here and I didn't see it.

ha this place is as vast as well...the Paris metro system haha I'm not surprised you didn't find it. I myself really want the soundtrack to the film, I haven't heard that song but I do love the music in the main version.

I've always wanted to know why did they do this?

reply

So they don't have to pay as much when the song is played I suppose. They replace music with something cheap to license.

I love the Murder of Love version - I am always gutted when I see the film and it has the bland version (sorry)

Was originally with Eric Serra's (instrumental) chase theme 'Speedway' , but some verions have Propaganda song. Was originally intended/edited to be with Serra's track - Fred does drum roll in time to music, and music brekas down in time to the car jumping over the railings.
