Wanted to like this but the music...

Made me want to kill myself.

be glad you didn't live in the 80's

I must say, I wholeheartedly agree. The music was terrible and inappropriate to the same degree as some of Wang Chung's for "To Live and Die in L.A.", and worse when singing was involved.

Oh, please! I lived through the 80s and there was tons of great music, for just about any taste. I'll take it over almost anything after 2000 and over the last third of the 90s.

Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!

I have to agree. I hated the music and I grew up in the 80's and still love lots of 80's music! It's such a pity as the film is very stylish and the music ruins the atmosphere for me.

Why problem make? When you no problem have, you don't want to make ...

Really? It just seemed like typical 80s music to me. I didn't love it, but I didn't especially hate it. Try watching Stomp The Yard without wanting to blow your brains out.

Eric Serra's Bass playing is the only thing I love about this movie. But I tend to like music that other people hate

reply

Great music, I loved it.

Are you insane, music was the best part! Luckily, the complete soundtrack is available on Spotify.

The music isn't my cup of tea either with its blaring horns and squealing guitars. As others have said in this thread, there were far better types of 1980s dance/pop/rock music at this time.
